Rainbow flag flies above Town House in Haddington.
Provost John McMillan said:
“As Pride Saltire prepares to hold a small online event for 2021, I am delighted and proud that East Lothian Council is flying the rainbow flag. While it is unfortunate that Pride Saltire are unable to hold the usual events due to the pandemic, it remains important to celebrate diversity within East Lothian and further afield, recognising and valuing the contribution made by the LGBTQ community. It reinforces the message that we want everyone in East Lothian to know that they are welcome and equal citizens.”
