COVID-19 mobile testing units will return to Dunbar, Port Seton, Whitecraig, North Berwick, Haddington, Tranent, Prestonpans and Longniddry over the next week.

As almost 1 in 3 people who have Covid-19 don’t show any of the usual symptoms, it’s possible for people to be passing the virus on to loved ones and people in the community. By getting tested – even if someone feels fine and has received vaccination – they can find out if they are positive, and take immediate action to stop the spread of the virus to others, by self-isolating.

The testing centre for people with no symptoms of the virus, located at the former Stoneyhill Community Centre in Musselburgh, will continue to operate from Tuesday to Saturday between 11am-6pm. It is open to everyone from East Lothian, as long as they don’t have symptoms, with no appointment being required.

Anyone with symptoms – most commonly a continuous cough, fever/high temperature, loss of or change in sense of smell/taste – is required to book a test. They will then be advised where to attend for their appointment.

The schedule for mobile test units (generally open 10am-6pm unless stated otherwise), which can also be visited by people with no symptoms, is:
