Our Children’s Services team is recruiting and they’re holding an online information session where potential applicants can find out more about the teams, meet some of the team leaders and hear more about the positions.
Following a redesign of our services we have four social worker and three senior practitioner vacancies available. The positions, which you can apply for online, offer you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children, young people and their families in East Lothian.
Our Children’s Services teams are committed to keeping The Promise and keeping children, young people and their families’ voices at the heart of everything we do. We are keen to recruit workers who are passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families. We’re looking for applicants with a sound value base, excellent communication and report writing skills and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of children and families social work role and responsibilities.
Our staff are our greatest asset and we strive to be supportive, inclusive and child centred by prioritising effective supervision, manageable caseloads and a healthy work life balance. Our vision is to support children and young people to live and learn in East Lothian and our staff are involved in developing services and implementing improvement activity around this goal.
