It was recently announced that a COVID-19 booster vaccination centre is to be set-up within Haddington Corn Exchange.

With a central location in Haddington, the Corn Exchange – which has been closed following a recent refurbishment project – is seen as a suitable location to administer booster jabs.

Krista Clubb, East Lothian Healh and Social Care Partnership Vaccination Manager, said:

“Our local vaccination team is working incredibly hard to vaccinate as many people as fast as we can. The huge number of people attending our clinics has sometimes led to queues and longer wait times, particularly for those attending without an appointment.

“ELHSCP is working hard to open the Haddington Corn Exchange as soon as possible so that we can offer more appointments and local drop-ins so that everyone eligible can have a Covid vaccination as quickly as they can. The quickest way to keep people up-to-date is via our social media, so please check www.facebook.com/elhscp for news.

“In the meantime, if you have an appointment at East Lothian Community Hospital or Musselburgh Primary Care Centre, please make sure you arrive no more than five minutes before your appointment. This will help us to minimise the wait times for everyone and enable our vaccinators to see you as soon as possible.

“Thank you for your patience while we undertake this enormous programme."
