Golf fans attending the ongoing Genesis Scottish Open are being encouraged to plan their day ahead and use public transport to get there, with a free shuttle bus operating to/from Longniddry station.

The tournament at the Renaissance Club teed off on Thursday and is due to conclude on Sunday.

To support the use of sustainable travel, public transport is in place between Longniddry railway station (which has connections to Edinburgh Waverley) and the venue on each day of the tournaments, while scheduled bus services (X5 and 124) will stop near the entrance.

With nice weather forecast and a good level of spectators already in attendance, the shuttle buses will be busy at peak times and so planning your day and allowing plenty time for your trip is advised.
