Strong winds are likely to continue in the days ahead.

Met Office yellow warning for wind was in place from 4pm on Tuesday until 3pm on Wednesday.

During this period of strong winds, disruption to travel and utilities was likely with potential for damage to buildings and fallen trees. Council services closely monitored the conditions.

Power

We understand that there East Lothian no longer has any storm related faults affecting electricity supplies to properties.

Schools

Power has been restored to Dunbar Primary School's Lochend Campus. The school reopened to children on Tuesday morning. Thanks to parents/carers and children for their patience.

Roads

The side road at Letham Mains remains closed.

The A6137 between Ballencrieff to Aberlady reopened on Monday evening.

Paths

A large beech tree has fallen within Dean Woods in Longniddry. It has fallen across the lower section of the footpath blocking completely. The tree will take some time to clear up so access to woodland will be restricted until further notice.
