East Lothian Council housing service and Care and Repair East Lothian are inviting homeowners and private renters to information sessions on accessible housing and living independently.

The events are open to everyone but have been specifically tailored to groups including; anyone aged over 50, living with a disability, thinking about their future independence, or taking care of another person. 

Come and join us to learn about living independently, home adaptations, finding the right home for you or care at home.

The events are:

  • Saturday 2 March from 10am to 2pm at St Andrew Blackadder Church, North Berwick, with speakers from 10am to 12 noon
  • Wednesday 6 March from 2-7pm at Prestonpans Royal British Legion, with speakers from 3pm – 5pm

Speakers will include representatives from Care and Repair East Lothian; Housing Options Scotland; Age Scotland and Carers of East Lothian.

All speakers will have information stalls on hand throughout the events, with additional stalls featuring;

  • East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership
  • East Lothian Council Housing Service
  • East Lothian Housing Association
  • Changeworks
  • Citizens Advice Bureau
  • Sight Scotland & Sight Scotland Veterans
  • Alzheimer Scotland
  • EARS Advocacy
