East Lothian Council is taking part in a free event to help businesses find out more about winning work with the public and private sectors.
Meet the Buyer takes place on 4 June at Murrayfield Stadium. It is is a free to attend event that connects suppliers with public sector procurement teams and private sector main contractors. It is hosted by the Supplier Development Programme (SDP), a business support organisation, and partnered by Scottish Government and Scotland Excel.
The council’s procurement team will be exhibiting alongside a wide range of public and private sector organisations, including Scottish Government, Scotland Excel, 20 other Scottish local authorities and Police Scotland as well as Balfour Beatty, Transport Scotland and many more.
Attendees can:
- meet procurement teams and buyers from across the public and private sectors,
- pitch their goods, services and innovation
- learn about the latest procurement updates, contract opportunities and projects from speakers at keynote sessions
- get tips on how to bid via Public Contracts Scotland and PCS-Tender.
They can also stop by the bp ‘Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub Zone,’ NHS National Services Scotland ‘Health Zone’, the APUC ‘Education Zone’, and the Brakes (a Sysco Company) ‘Food Industry Zone’. Support organisations will also be available with advice on business growth.
