East Lothian is covered by a Met Office Amber warning for high winds from 10am to 10pm on Monday 4 August, which may cause some disruption and/or damage.
Outwith these times, a yellow warning is in place from 6am on Monday and then until midnight. The wind might not be as strong then, but could still lead to difficulties/disruption.

Waste and recycling collections are going ahead as planned. Anyone whose recycling is due to be collected is advised to ensure containers are securely fastened.
Our waste and recycling centres will close at 1.30pm (4 August) to reduce the risk of injury from debris displaced by strong gusts of wind. We hope to reopen on Tuesday 5 August as normal.
Please check with transport operators before travelling.
