Carriageway repairs on the B6355 in Pencaitland are currently being undertaken by East Lothian Council.
As part of these ongoing works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the section of road between the junction with the A6093 (Pencaitland Crossroads) and Spilmersford View.
The closure will be implemented over the weekend of Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August from 8am to 5pm each day, weather permitting.
A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the works.
An alternative bus provision will operate in both directions between Pencaitland and Ormiston from 8am until 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday. The service will run from Park View, Pencaitland to Ormiston Post Office, serving all designated bus stops along the route in line with the 113 timetable. Details of this temporary service will be displayed at each active bus stop.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Further information and updates on any restrictions will be published on the www.tellmescotland.gov.uk website which we use to inform the public about roadworks.”
