Lamer Street in Dunbar has been closed to vehicles and pedestrians due to a sinkhole.
Signage has been put in place at the location, which runs adjacent to the East Beach, and people are asked not to enter the closed off area.
Council teams are closely monitoring the situation and will make an assessment of the damage on Thursday.
