TechTalk: Learning together about digital wellbeing with East Lothian Libraries
Do you want to learn more about digital wellbeing for you and your family? East Lothian Library Services, in partnership with East Lothian Connected Communities, is inviting you to ‘TechTalk’ – a free, eight-week project for young people and their parents or carers, exploring our online worlds together.
The programme is open to Musselburgh and Wallyford area young people, ages 9-12, and an important grown up in their lives, and will be after school at Musselburgh or Wallyford Library.
Councillor Colin McGinn, Cabinet Spokesperson for Community Wellbeing and Sport, Countryside and Leisure, said: “This is such an important project as we’re all more aware of the need to help keep our young people safe in the digital world. And there’s a lot we can learn from each other and our own experiences and the stories we’ve heard. This is a great opportunity to join this group to share your views, learn with other local families and help make a creative guide for other families in East Lothian and Scotland.”
Snacks are provided and travel reimbursed, and those taking part will receive a voucher as a ‘thank you’ for their involvement.
