School bike racks and shelters
Through our Active Travel team working within the local school network it was clear that there was a need additional cycle parking to be made encourage pupils to make active travel journeys to school. In 2022, East Lothian Council used funding from Sustrans and Transport Scotland to design and install racks and shelters at three schools: Dunbar Grammar School, Loretto RC Primary School and Innerwick Primary School. Additionally, a bike pump and cycle information board also installed for pupils at Loretto.
