Preston Road, East Linton
Dunpender Community Council campaigned for many years for more space for pedestrians on the section of Preston Road, outside Preston Kirk, East Linton.
It was only with the reduction of the speed limit to 20mph and resulting decrease in traffic speed that it was deemed feasible to narrow the road in a 'give and take' system for motorists which allowed the footway to be widened in 2024.
