Head of Corporate Support

Reporting to an Executive Director, the Head of Corporate Support will lead many of the corporate services which play an integral role in the smooth and efficient running of the council, enabling our people to flourish. This includes strategic leadership responsibility for functions such as HR, Legal Services, IT, Governance, Corporate Communications as well as supporting Elected Members. 

As a member of the Council Management Team, the Head of Corporate Support will be a key player with demonstrable and significant experience of operating in a complex and diverse organisation. They must have both a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to work collaboratively, influencing and shaping the future of service delivery.

The successful candidate should have strong governance experience and be able to provide sound advice to elected members in relation to the efficient and effective running of the Council in a very dynamic and changing environment.

They will personify and embed our Council Values - Enabling, Leading and Caring.
