Longniddry Library Update 

Longniddry Library is now open for browsing, click and collect , PC sessions and Blue Badge support. 

Hearing Aid batteries and waste container covers will also be given out from this facility

Customers should make an appointment by telephone or email.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday         10:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Click and Collect Service
Borrowers are able to order specific titles or a selection of items up to a maximum of 6 per person and collect them from the library. When an order is placed, you will be asked to choose a day and time that is convenient to you for collection. Unless you hear back from us, you will need to visit the library during this time and we will provide you with your items. Use the Click and Collect service

Home Library Service

Our Home Library Service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons. If you are aware of anyone who has no-one to collect books for them through the click and collect system - we can have books delivered to them. Email libraries@eastlothian.gov.uk identifying who the person is who needs assistance with contact details for them.

Blue Badges
Apply or renew online at Gov.uk. If you need assistance to apply for or renew a Blue Badge please telephone 0131 6535220 to make a telephone appointment with one of our staff.

Please note that all library events, clubs and activities have been suspended until further notice.  Bookbug sessions, children and teen book recommendations, Lego, science and craft ideas can all be found on our weekly activity programme on our Facebook page.

  • Art Club- every Thursday from 2:30pm-3:30pm
  • Bookbug sessions ( for under 5's)- every Friday at 10.30am
  • Book group - first Wednesday of each month at 5pm
  • Chatterbooks Children's Book Group ( for children aged 7-9) - alternative Saturdays 10.30-11.30am contact the library for details. 
  • Craft group - every Monday 2pm-3pm. 
  • Homework club ( for 7-9 year olds)- every Tuesday 3.30pm-4.15pm
  • Knit and natter - every Tuesday at11.00am
  • Learn computer basics (Learn computer basics or iPad learner sessions)- available on demand 
  • Lego club ( for ages 8+) - every Friday 3pm-4pm
  • Storytime for tots -  first Tuesday of every month at 10.30am 
  • Saturday stories - alternate Saturdays at 10.30am
