Due to the coronavirus pandemic and demands on our services, Prestonpans library is now closed. However, the nearest libraries which are open for Click and Collect and Home Library services are:
Monday to Friday 10:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Home Library Service
Our Home Library Service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons. If you are aware of anyone who has no-one to collect books for them through the click and collect system - we can have books delivered to them. Email libraries@eastlothian.gov.uk identifying who the person is who needs assistance with contact details for them.

Please note that all library events, clubs and activities have been suspended until further notice. Bookbug sessions, children and teen book recommendations, Lego, science and craft ideas can all be found on our weekly activity programme on our Facebook page.
- Bookbug sessions ( for under 5's)- every Thursday at 10.30am and every Saturday at 10.30am.
- Code Club - ( for children 8 years and over)- every Friday at 2:30pm.
- Creative Writing group - ( for children in P7- S6) - every Saturday at 11.30-12.30am.
- DWP Universal Credit Drop In Surgeries - every Thursday from 2pm - 4.30pm
- Knit-wits - every Friday at 10.15am
- Lego Club ( all ages) - every Friday at 2.30pm-3.30pm. (Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.).
- Learn computer basics - available online on demand (Learn computer basics or iPad learner sessions)
- Pans Pals ( group for people over 60's) - Fortnightly on a Wednesday 10.30am - 12 noon
- Rent Team Drop in every Thursday from 2pm-4pm.
- Smoking Cessation Group - every Thursday from 5pm-7pm
- Welfare Rights Surgeries - First and Third Thursday of the month
