What happens when you call?

  1. When you call the East Lothian Mental Health Support Line, you will be asked for your contact details and/or who you are calling on behalf of. 
    You can then choose to have a same-day call back that morning or afternoon.
     
  2. When an experienced Mental Health Clinician calls you back, they will ask you for some background information, the nature of your concerns, and if you / the individual of concern is currently receiving any current treatment.
     
  3. Following their assessment, they will make suggestions and or recommendations of support services to support you.  You may be signposted or referred onto one of East Lothian Mental Health Support Teams, or to an alternative health and social care or community based service that will be best suited to support your needs.
