Across East Lothian, there are a wide range of health, medical and care services that can be accessed by getting in touch with the most appropriate health professionals first time around.   Your GP Practice does not need to be your first point of contact.

Pharmacy Services

Your local pharmacy teams can offer a wide range of advice and treatment solutions for common ailments and illnesses.

Mental Health Support Line

Whatever you are feeling, if you are looking for mental health advice for yourself, or a loved one, access to mental health support is only one phone call away.

MSK Physiotherapy

The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service can help support, diagnose and provide treatment for bones, muscles, joints, aches and pains.

CWIC: Same Day Appointments

Registered patients at Tranent, Inveresk, Riverside and The Harbours Medical Practices can access same day appointments through the CWIC Service.

Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are offered at key life stages including pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adolescence and older adulthood. Find out more about local vaccination programmes.

GP Practices

For medical advice, treatment, prescriptions and management of long-term health conditions contact your local GP Medical Practice.

Sexual Health Services

Access confidential advice about sexual and reproductive health including contraception, STIs, gender identity, HIV and abortion services.

Maternity and Health Visitors

Being pregnant is a special time. East Lothian's Maternity and Health Visiting Service will be right alongside you, every step of the way.

CTAC Service

The Community Treatment and Care Service (CTACS) is a nurse-led service supporting patients with wound care and treatments as directed by GPs.
