Hours: 40 hours per week average Rota: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-1pm

Assistant Gardener, Pencaitland

Certification

Food Production Operative, Dunbar

Duties

Experience
- Previous experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations is essential

- Basic mathematical skills are required for data entry and reporting purposes

We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us and provide support to our Digital Services Officer. With the Housing Team, they will also help ensure excellent service delivery to our customers.
The postholder will learn about all aspects of our digital services, including Rent Collector, our innovative new Open Banking App which tenants can use to pay their rent, and our Key Tenant Scheme where tenants can earn discounts by using our digital services.
The successful candidate will have good communication and organisation skills, and must be confident in using Microsoft Applications, including Word and Excel. The postholder will also be required to complete the Modern Apprenticeship in Digital Applications as SCQF Level 6.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Modern Apprentice to join the Transport Services at East Lothian Council.
As part of East Lothian Council's 'Support for Employability' commitment to promote youth opportunities in the County, this post is open to those who are aged 16 – 19 and reside in East Lothian. (For those who are disabled or care-experienced, this is extended up to and including age 29). You will be asked to confirm you meet this criteria when you complete the application form.
This opportunity is fixed term for 3 years and will be based at the Vehicle and Plant Maintenance Unit (VPMU) in Macmerry Industrial Estate.
There will be ongoing support from an external training provider to achieve the SVQF Level 6 in Vehicle Parts Management.
Duties include
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods and materials
- Carry out part return processes including warranty claims
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems
- Ensure the stores area is kept clean, tidy, and safe always
- Support stocktaking and cycle counting activities
- Learn and follow health and safety procedures relevant to the store’s environment
- Operate manual handling equipment (training provided)
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments
- Support the reception function in dealing with customers and external third parties
- Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Compliance with all current Health and Safety Legislation
- Any other appropriate duties, as requested by Management, commensurate with the grade for the post
