All our libraries are warm spaces with a friendly face, where you can come and have a chat and have a hot drink.

We have comfortable spaces where you are welcome to sit. You can borrow a board game, read a newspaper or help complete the community jigsaw.

We also offer relaxing activities:

  • colouring
  • drawing
  • craft
  • knitting

Healthy reading 

We have healthy reading books you can borrow to support you in your wellbeing journey - including practical guides and inspirational stories.

These can support you with anxiety, stress, and mindfulness.

All books are chosen on the recommendation of local and national health experts. We also follow recommendations made to the Reading Agency.

We have audio books available for both adults and children if you prefer to listen.
