One of the greatest challenges faced by people with a mental health condition is discrimination caused by a lack of understanding. This video "Black Dog" provides a really valuable insight into a mental health condition (depression).
Changes Community Health Project run these free courses to residents or people who work in East Lothian. For more information, email chooselife@changeschp.org.uk. We also run Mental Health First Aid courses normally throughout the year. If you are an employee, you can sign up via the Council's learnpro.

If you are living in Edinburgh and the Lothians and have been affected by cancer, our Improving the Cancer Journey service is here to help you live as well as possible. We can meet with you to discuss what matters to you and help you get the right support. We can do this over the phone or online with a video call. Menopause affects a large majority of our staff, and we want to be able to support those currently affected by menopause. Menopause is a normal, natural event. Menopause occurs, on average, at age 51. It occurs most often between ages 45 and 55. For many women, it is an optimal time to reassess their health. Read more at Menopausematters.co.uk.
