Regular Events

  • Bookbug sessions, fantastic free story, song and rhyme sessions for babies, toddlers, pre-school children and their families, take place on Thursdays and Saturdays at 10.30am.
  • Junior book groups.  We have 2 book groups running for children on alternate Saturdays during term time. A P1-3 group and a P4-7 group. The groups are free to attend and both have a range of activities and sharing reading and writing appropriate to the age of those attending. Contact the library for more information if your child would like to attend.
  • Code Club is now up and running in the library on a Monday afternoon from 4-5pm. If you're interested in computing, animation and gaming why not come along and find out what it's all about. Code Club is for children in Primary 5 - S1.
  • Lego Club for ages 7-11, every second Friday of the month at 12.45-12.45. Contact the Library for details.
  • Book Group for adults meets in the library on the first Saturday of the month from 10.15am. New members are always welcome.
  • Job club. Tuesdays 10.00am to 12 noon. Drop in session with an advisor to help with all enquiries such as Universal Credit and searching job sites
  • Learn computer basics or iPad learner sessions available on demand.

Children’s Book Groups

Our Book Groups take place on Saturdays. If your child is interested in attending either of our groups  for P1-3 or P4-7 then please contact the library.

Monday Evening Book Group

We are considering starting up a new monthly book group in the library on a Monday evening.  If you would be interested in attending this please speak to a member of library staff or call us on 0131 653 5130.
