Children's Disability Team

The Children’s Disability Team is made up of a Team Leader, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Family Support Workers and Administrative Staff. 

The Children’s Disability Team supports children and young people with disabilities, and their families. Our dedicated team offers targeted support and aims to work with children, young people and their families to access the services they need.  

We strive to take a creative approach to ensure the care, protection and support of children and their families.   

We work to assess the needs of children with disabilities and their families to create individual support plans highlighting their goals and outcomes.

As a Local Authority we have a duty to provide an assessment of need for a child or young person affected by disabilities when asked. This duty also extends to carers of that child or young person.
