Occupational Therapy Services

The Community Occupational and Physiotherapy Teams can provide equipment and adaptations to support you with everyday tasks at home. This can include daily activities such as preparing meals and hot drinks, going to the toilet, washing or dressing yourself, and generally moving around safely within your own home and community.

Returning adaptation equipment

All adaption equipment issued by the East Lothian Community Occupational Therapy Team, comes from the Community Equipment Loan Store managed by our partners in the City of Edinburgh Council. 


When you have an item you no longer require, it must be returned back to the Community Equipment Loan Store.

  • If you have any equipment you need to return you can email CELS@edinburgh.gov.uk or call 0131 529 6300.
     
  • You must include
    • the name and address of the person the equipment was issued to
    • what items you need to return
    • a contact telephone number

Arrangements will then be made for the item to be returned.
