Good support starts with people, policies and practices.

We want all of our teams to work effectively with families and partners to keep people safe and help them thrive.

Here you'll find more details about how we do this, as well as information if you want to join us.

Safe and trauma informed

We use Signs of Safety to help us make decisions. It's a way of working that focuses on relationships and assesses risk to keep children safe and protected. We also prioritise helping staff to be trauma informed in their own practice.

Included and involved

We want to include children, young people and families throughout our services. This means creating ways for people to participate, including voice and adapting how we work. It's supported by our commitment to children's rights and getting it right for every child.

Working in partnership

We can achieve so much more when we work with others. It reflects our communities and how families live as well as helping us to plan our resources effectively to provide high quality services.
