Council Tax charges 2022/23

It was agreed at a meeting of East Lothian Council on Tuesday 1 March 2022 to increase Council Tax levels by 3 percent for the financial year 2022/23. The band D level of Council Tax is £1,341.70 for the year.

Your Council Tax bill includes charges for your water supply and waste water collection services from Scottish Water. Although we collect these charges on behalf of Scottish Water, we are not responsible for setting these charges.

The Scottish Government recently announced a £150 cost of living payment to every household in receipt of Council Tax Reduction and all other occupied households in Bands A to D.  East Lothian Council will credit those households with £150 in April and issue a revised 2022/23 Council Tax bill.
