Responding to a contract opportunity

If you wish to supply goods or services to the council, your first step is to look at the contract opportunities at the Public Contracts Scotland website (this is the public sector website for advertising contract opportunities and e-tendering)

You may want to contact the Procurement Team, but please note that we do not retain contact details or supplier lists.

You will then be advised whether we purchase those products directly, have joint arrangements with other public bodies or have existing arrangements in place and will not be entering the market for some time.

As part of supplier selection for the supply of goods or services to the council you are likely to be required to complete pre qualification questions, which seeks information on your organisation using the European Single Procurement Document (ESPD).This may include:

  • Organisation profile
  • Financial health
  • Insurance cover
  • Quality assurance procedures
  • Technical ability and flexibility for change
  • Experience of successful completion of similar contracts
  • Health and Safety policies
  • Equal Opportunities
  • References

If you pass the pre-qualification criteria for selection you may be short-listed and invited to submit a full tender (Invitation to Tender - ITT).
