European Parliamentary Election Results - 26 May 2019

An order was laid in the Parliament on Monday 8 April 2019 to set the date for the European Parliament Election. This came into force on Wednesday 10 April 2019.

Polling for this election was held on Thursday 23 May 2019, with votes counted on Sunday 26 May 2019.

East Lothian counting area result

The Regional Returning Officer (RRO) is Kenneth Lawrie and he has overall responsibility for the election.

The 32 Scottish local authorities have Local Returning Officers (LRO) who are responsible for the election in their council area.

Scotland is a single electoral region and the election is for 6 members to represent this region. The same ballot paper was issued throughout Scotland.
