Access to Dunbar Station
A new access on the south of Dunbar Rail Station has long been an aspiration as it would shorten the trip to the station for people who live on the south and west of the railway. The path arrangements received Planning Permission (21/00033/PCL) in March 2021 and our consultants, Stantec have now completed the detailed design. Early designs were shared with Dunbar Community Council in March 2023, and feedback received from them been taken into account.
We are also talking to Network Rail about continuing the path to the platform within their boundary, which is an essential element of the project, and it would be ideal to progress to construction of both sections at the same time.
