Work Experience Programme for Employers

The Work Experience Programme gives students of Secondary School age the opportunity to gain experience in the world of work. This gives young people the opportunity to gain experience and help them think about their future career plans.

For employers, the Work Experience Programme gives organisations the opportunity to give back to the community, providing young people with invaluable opportunities that they will take forward in their future decision making. It also provides employers with the chance to show the future work force what working in their company is like, perhaps recruiting future members of staff.

Placements can be offered for one afternoon per week up to full-time any time during the academic year, subject to the employer's availability, as well as that of the student.

If interested, get in touch with East Lothian Works, stating your interest in the Work Experience Programme.
