Law path route to school, North Berwick
The upgrade of the North Berwick Law path, which connects Haddington Road to Glenburn Road (avoiding the busy Lochbridge Road) is underway and will be complete by the Spring.
A new crossing point at Haddington Road will be installed in January, and the main gate to the school will be reconfigured to match. The map below provides further detail:
A full Ecological report took into consideration the impacts on teh sensitive site, and as a result there will be no lighting on the new path. Nevertheless, ducting for lighting has been installed by way of future-proofing should a case for lighting be made in future.
This project is being supported by the Law Primary Active Travel Group and funded mainly by Walking Scotland's Ian Findlay Path Fund, with contributions from The North Berwick Trust and East Lothian Council.
