Out of Hours Emergencies
Environmental Health - emergency contacts
The Council's out of hours emergency service responds to urgent environmental health problems including:
- serious injuries
- fatalities
- imminent health risks (e.g. water and environmental contamination, food poisoning outbreaks and health and safety incidents)
Emergency number outwith office hours (before 9am or after 5pm): 01875 612818.
Other agencies may also be involved in dealing with emergency situations:
- Scottish Water runs a 24-hour emergency helpline for problems with water supplies, mains sewers and drains. Tel. 0845 600 8855
- Scottish Environment Protection Agency runs a 24 hour pollution hotline: 0800 807060
