Multiply

Multiply is a nationwide programme that aims to help adults improve their numeracy skills. East Lothian Works' own Multiply Team is part of our Adult Literacy and Numeracy (ALN) provision. Our team works with partners throughout East Lothian including Third Sector, community groups and employers to develop new and innovative programmes to build the numeracy skills and confidence of adults in East Lothian. To support the delivery of this programme in East Lothian a grant programme was developed for 2023-24. Our current grant programme partners are:

Edinburgh College is delivering three different programmes focused on improving Numeracy and Digital Skills.

  • Numeracy Skills - SCQF Level 5 is a course about applying numerical skills in personal, workplace, social, and educational situations that involve graphical information, calculations, and solving problems.
  • Numeracy & Data Skills: Learning for Life and Work an SCQF level 5 course designed to introduce learners to the basics of working with data so that they understand data, digital and numeracy skills commonly used in life and work.
  • Developing your Data & Numeracy skills for the Workplace is an SCQF Level 5/6 programme that designed to develop learner's numeracy and data literacy skills so that they have a good understanding of data and statistics commonly used in the workplace

LEAD Scotland is delivering a Numeracy, Digital and Employability Skills programme for adults with barriers to accessing mainstream adult learning

  • The LEAD Scotland programme adopts a tailored approach to working with each individual, with day-to-day life skills to formal qualifications being offered to learners at home 1-1 or online.
