No One Left Behind

No One Left Behind (NOLB) is a flexible, bespoke service for people of all ages (16+ years) who without additional support might not make a successful transition into or be able to secure work, further education or training.

Everyone participating will create an individual Learning Action Plan and participate in a programme of tailored learning and activity based on an assessment of their immediate and future skills needs.

The service is tailor-made to fit around the person's interests and address barriers to learning and progression. Training is in the form of bite sized taster sessions as diverse as music; bushcraft; climbing; aromatherepy and much more. Anyone can refer to this service: schools; families; social work; Skills Development Scotland, etc.

It is expected that participants should make steady progress with a combination of training and 1-to-1 support so that they are able to sustain their next steps, which could be employment; college; an apprenticeship or a national training programme.

Young people (16-19) are eligible to apply for Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), which is £30 per week if they fit criteria.
