What council housing is in my area?

Although the number of council houses has increased in recent years, at any given time there are around three and a half thousand people on our list, waiting to be housed. Allocations are made according to need and our pointing systerm is explained on our 'How our Allocations System works' page.  Our stock varies by type, size and area. Current details are listed below. Properties are allocated as they become available, but this is not predictable.

Unless you are in very high need, you may wait a long time - years - for a council house. To find out about alternatives please ask for a housing options interview.
